Wow each day improves. Today she is off all her monitors except for her oxygen monitor. Ellie has a good sense of humor for an almost 11wk old, ok well it's probably me that thinks it's funny. Now that she is staying awake a little more she likes to look at this little toy on her crib rail. She likes to kick her feet when she sees the fish move, well this sets off her O2 monitor as it's on her foot. This is connected to the nurses desk so each time it goes off the nurses have to come in and shut it off and check on her. This sometimes is several times a hour, not so funny in the middle of the night, but durring the day I get a kick out of it.
Tomorrow she will hopefully be taken off her lasix meds (that help keep her swelling down). Dr is very optimistic and says we are on cruise control for now. We will have to deal with long term complications as they come, but at least I am not hearing the word mortality any more. That is music to my ears! Each day we get to get a little more good news.

That is so great...God is Good! Give her a kiss from us. It was great to see you yesterday. Know that you are all in our prayers.
