Airplane pilots
Tyler, Nathan and Nicholas are part of a father/son group called conquest. It is for Catholic boys 5 and older with their dads, a leadership program if you will. It helps the boys to learn and work on their virtues. Every six weeks they have a campaign, a certain set of virtues they are working on. The boys have things they must do to earn points through the week. There are 2 teams, the red and blue teams, and they have their meetings on Fridays, they keep track of their points and at the end of the 6 weeks they have an awards ceremony. It's usually in the woods of a gentleman that donates his land for the group to use, where they can fish and other things. Usually the whole family is invited for the awards. This time the awards was at the airport. The person that got the conquest group set up in our area works at Executive air here in Green Bay, it's at the air port, but is where the corporate jets and such fly out. They also have flying lessons there. So this awards the boys got to go up in a plane and even help the pilot take off, steer in the air and land. It was great fun! The boys 9 and over got to be enrolled in the Young Eagles program and all the boys that went up got a flight log book. Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the not so great, really windy and even some snow so they had to cut the day short. The ones that didn't get to go up will get to go back another time and have their turns. Executive air donated the plane use and the gas for the boys and the flight teachers donated their Saturday morning for this. Nicholas was the only one that didn't get to go up our of our boys.

I did go up with 2 other boys, it was just like being in a boat. I was quite surprised I didn't get sick, not even when Jacob turned the plane just a little too fast.
This is the kids getting to check out a six million dollar jet, the pilot gave permission for them to go in.
Of course the boys favorite part was that there was a bathroom in there.
Ryan got some video which I will try to put up another time.
